Providing your visitors with the tools to market your site is an opportunity most website owners overlook. In this quick tutorial you will learn how to create this effective marketing tool for your website.
Level Of Difficulty: Beginner
Preparation:
a. Start at the page that you want to insert this form
b. Decide where you want to place the Form
Start:
1) Go to the top Menu and click on File/File Manager / Library / Our Favourites / Mail to a Friend/ Use this
2) Close the File Manager by clicking on the X (upper right) and locate the text: Mail to a Friend
3) Click on Mail to a Friend and the Editor box will appear
4) Click on the Setup tab
a. Link Text: leave text or change it
b. Open above or open below: choose where you want the text link to be positioned
c. Link to Page or Link to Website: your choice
d. Apply
5) Click on Style
a. Theme: leave as if or choose from the drop down. Changing the theme changes the general look of the form such as background colour, text colour etc. If you change the theme remember to click the Reset button.
b. Theme: Ensure that Default is showing to change Background (see Tip below); Text (colour); Text size – +
6) Save
Tips: You will discover that the location of the Tell a Friend text link opens the form under or above it depending on what you have chosen. If you have text or photos in this position the Form will appear over it. In this position it may foul up the site look that you are aiming for. If this is the case either move the link to whereit does not interfer with existing elements OR add a solid background colour using the Editor.

Hi Coach Carol,
I am wanting to put some affiliate banners on my website but don’t know how or where to put them.
Can you help?
Thank you.
Another question Coach Carol, sorry about this!
I want to make the heading link tab writing bigger, how do I do this?
Thank you.
Hi Ce – here are some options. Tell me which one interests you and I’ll complete a quick video for you.
1. Use the banner provided by the affiliate. Most often this will be in .jpeg or .gif format
2. Create your own banner and link it to the affiliate. If this is the case choose a shape e.g. rectangle and stretches across the wideth of the page; star burst, circular – well you get the idea.

Very good concept, I like how you convey the msg.
Such a awesome site. I am bookmarking this page.
TIP Look at your site using different browsers, using both MAC and a PC. I am viewing your site using a MAC and the header on your first page is not completely visible. Check that there are no other occurances on your site. Once these have been corrected your site will have the professional look and polish that you are wanting.
Always pleasant to discover a new website this fantastic I’ll be back here for sure
Your bookmarking strategy is working as I Found you through Stumbleupon.
Thanks- if you have ‘bookmarking’ in different positions consider tracking which location(s) your visiters use most often or not at all. Use this information to your advantage. I’m using Google Analytics – its free and fantastic.
