 2. What kinds of video files can I upload?  5. How do I add videos from Google or YouTube?
 3. How do I upload a video to my site?

  1. Can I add video to my site?
Our software supports both SWF animations and FLV flash video files.  You can create SWF and FLV files using Adobe's Flash software (original created by Macromedia) which you can get online at www.adobe.com.

Alternatively, you can upload a video file ( i.e. WMV, MPG, AVI) and then link to it in your site using a download link (a Button Link that likes to a file within your site).  It will then open a new window when your visitors click on it and play their default video player.

  2. What kinds of video files can I upload?
You can upload any type of video file into your site.  However, only the FLV file will play directly within your site.  All other uploaded video files i.e. MPEG, WMV, AVI will be stored in the Download Files folder where they can be linked to (i.e. using a Button Link) and then downloaded by your visitors.

Videos downloaded by your visitors will normally auto play on their computer system depending on what player they have installed i.e. Real Player, quickTime, Windows Media Player.

  3. How do I upload a video to my site?
    a. Open the File Manager (the Folder icon in Advanced View, Files in Basic View).
    b. Select the Upload tab and then click Start Upload. £. The upload window/panel will open.
    c. Click Browse to navigate to the FLV (Flash video) file you want to upload from your computer (just highlight the file and click Open).
    d. You can rename your video file if that makes it easier to manage before you upload it.  Or just select the Upload button to continue.
    e. When you se Congratulations! the upload has completed and you can upload another video file or close the upload window. f. When you return to the File Manager, click Finish and you will see all your file folders which are contained within the Your Tiles tab.  You can browse the Your Videos folder for your uploaded file(s). Select the file and click Use This.

  4. What is an FLV file?
FLV or Flash Video is a format that can be played by the Adobe Flash Player.  This format is used extensively by sites such as YouTube, Google Video and MySpace.  As most web browsers now support Adobe Flash Player (also known as Macomedia Flash Player) this provides an universal means to display video over the internet.

Some FLV's created with a later version of Flash may fail to play correctly.  If an FLV fails to play in your Flash Player 8 then we recommend upgrading to the latest version of Flash Player. To do this, go to http:://www.adobe.com/ and look for Get Adobe Flash Player.

  5. How do I add videos from Google or YouTube?
    a. To play a video hosted on Google Video or YouTube on your video player, go to the Setup tab and click on Choose a Provider drop down.
    b. You can choose between YouTube, Google Video, MySpace and Kewego.
    c. Use the Go to Button to launch the video site so that you can grab the URL or site address for the video - you may need to remove the existing generic code and replace it with your own.  Or you can simply paste in the video address if you have it.
    d. Once your code (web address) has been pasted into the Setup window, click 'Next" to load the video.
    e. Within the Video player controls at the bottom of the player you will notice that the running time of the video (the Time-Stamp) is included on the right hand side.  The left had side of the Time-Stamp displays how much of the video has played (which should be at zero until you start playing).
    f. To test your video you need to click inside the Video Player once to select it. Click the Play button once to select it, and then click the Play button again to play.  It should start playing and During Bar will (along with the Time Stamp) indicate the Video's progress.
